This clarifies the 3 bucket ontology for me much deeper. Still not 100%, but getting closer. After one explanation of these concepts, I get an academic and superficial understanding. When you repeat and explanation in a slightly different way, it helps move my understanding from surface-level comprehension to a little deeper level of proficiency. Thank you for this explanation and repetition. It's very helpful.

sure thing mate--I wanted to include this as the middle step of the Post Con Metaphysics in Recapture the Rapture but had to omit due to length and concept-overload. This is first time I haven't just riffed on it from a stage someplace. Fun to lay down a slightly more formalized version. Next couple of posts will bring whole thing full circle

You are definitely one of the best writers at keeping the reader engaged, I admire your style and appreciate your talent. I suspect you missed your true calling as a battle rapper...lol

I like this mostly for the guardrails, or the premise, that we should be evaluating what we are learning regardless of what bucket it lands in. I have always been pretty good at cleaning out bucket 1.

As you might know, my experience in enhanced visits into the discoveries in bucket 2 and 3 are yet quite limited. My observations so far of others journeys is seeing way more Zoolander takeaways for my comfort.

It’s like that Lincoln quote you use from time to time, “I care not for a man's religion whose dog and cat are not the better for it.”

I ask, “Ok, but how are you or us better for this new enlightenment?”

I trust you dabbling in these realms for sure….and Tanner no doubt. (And likely the other smart commenters above). Not sure it’s for us all. You guys are brilliant and I trust you to travel and come back and help us good humans a bit further down in the bell curve.

But honestly as I observe so many misguided adventurers jumping in buckets they are not prepared to experience, I’m getting closer to traveling ahead myself - just to counteract the foolishness.

I will check with you first. I know you will tell me, “sit down son” if need be. 😂

sound perspective. those experiences change everything and they change nothing! My general rec is most people (who pass a med/psych screen) would benefit meaningfully from 1-3 initiatory experiences in a lifetime. Less than 10% should ever do them more often than that. Suck the marrow out of the life and magic we're given instead of forever chasing the dragon

but this model isnt just for non-ordinary states, it's for highly unusual stuff, like existential risk, aliens, conspiracies, cabals, etc. The weirdness could be inside or outside your own skull ;)

I am intrigued and feel squeezed a bit with 3 “buckets.” The impression is one of a shell game …can we really refine experience into 3 buckets? My next thought is three coins…as in reading into the dimensionality of the iChing that simplifies the breadth and understanding of life’s swivel points, nuances and yes, flow. Does that help understanding and actions to take, or to - just - pause ? It has in my past. Lastly, the myth and longevity of a deck of cards - tarot - to explain the journey, pitfalls, ecstasy and inevitabilities …regardless of the coins in our pocket or what we do with our buckets and shells. Could this be a time tested evolution of GEOMETRY with its lines, angles and circles? Whatever the value in these forms of “navigation” I keep returning to an internal compass where true north is independent of an internal feeling. More Gaia - centric. Listen to that, pay attention and my physiology will naturally, align for my well being and the well being of Gaia. Bless you Jamie for your fire to express this all and offer a place here to explore …perhaps more than just well being ? With Aloha …

but that Third Bucket is HUUUUGE! It's like Dr. Who's Tardis or Snoopy's doghouse, man. Vast, containing multitudes ;)

It continues to amaze that while my focus of inquiry differs from yours, our ontologies & gnosis "conclusions" match damn near exactly. Pretty much step by step thru this growth process of hominin consciousness.

I came to your "3 Bucket Process" a long time ago, & I want to say "simply" but it is NOT, thru my seemingly innate "why" disposition as a child, which was, luckily, highly encouraged by my parents.

Now in my 6th decade, I have to recognize I simply "saw" the world differently & "simply" could not accept the standard narrative was "true" or "correct." All these decades later, at least I have a damn good idea of why, & the very hollow satisfaction of know my child self was right, all along.

You are a brilliant writer but I have to say a true thank you because your sense of humor is next level. You had me at Godforsaken over-sharers on InstaTok :).....Thank you for the laughs you never fail to deliver. You are the perfect narrator to meet this moment of Polycrisis/ impending doom. #youcantmakethisstuffup

Helpful, understandable, enjoyable. Also clarifies some of the “barking off the reservation” behavior I’ve witnessed, especially online. Hell, I almost drowned myself in bucket 3 a couple times, but was pulled back by the inexorable tide of Bucket 1, and the necessary perspectival upgrade of Bucket 2. Thank you, Jamie, for your inimitable writing style. Excited to see you in the line-up for Daniel P’s event!

I think you have your buckets a wee bit confused sir jamie… Bucket 1 is the purely conventional /mechanical POV, yes. Bucket 2 is the unconventional and more subtle dimension of experience, that transcends and potentially includes bucket 1, yes. But that bucket #3 is not amenable to mere discriminative intelligence and transcends both the conventional and unconventional POVs … Bucket 3 is in the domain of realization and requires a conversion and transformation of POV… you don’t gradually cozy up to what transcends both the conventional and the unconventional POVs… nothing from bucket 3 is ever “moved” to bucket 2, as much as the mind would like to think so… Maybe you are bucketing something else here, but the most radical “point of view” of the root/source consciousness is not developmental at all, contrary to the pseudo spiritual opinions of developmentally enamored Ontologists… 🦵🏿 🪣

cool your spurs, gunslinger! This is merely an instructional device to meet folks where they are and share a tool that helps navigate the big wide world. You're stumping for the indivisibility of the Mighty Monad. #vedantaflex That too. Will get there in next couple of posts. This was only the middle step. Next couple speak more to the terrain you're describing.

Your forgetting about buckets 4 & 5 my friend!

But seriously, I think I might have mistakenly promoted some things in my timeline prematurely, any tips on reversing that or is it permanent?

Back and forth in many contexts can be enlightening. Which in my experience can be terrifying or the original definition of awesome.

Doesn't answer my question but I didn't expect that.

I guess if one of them is a little too 'stuck' it's either a permanent upgrade or my mind has a permanent bug. Either way. Sure. 'awesome'
