"Ritualize and emphasize the tiny flames, the modest embers of light, rather than waiting for the next bonfire to dance around." Thank you for this reminder. Starting seeds in the springtime is the best time of year for me, it's such a visual reminder to nurture and help grow from the littlest things. Grow those simple ideas through nurturing and dedication, maybe chasing rainbows is just a fun activity but not sustainable.

I love this. You have articulated much of the work that I do with men called to lead through this moment.

The part that may be missing, or left out as of yet, is the intelligence and technology of moving through life collectively and with a pace so that the system holds the weight of the grief and ignites opportunities for celebration. Many of our nomads know quite well that celebration in times of precarity is a necessary part of survival, and is often effortless.

"Suck the marrow out of life while you still can. But do it with the deep and certain knowledge of the blessing and burden it entails.

To hold that fleeting and increasingly vulnerable beauty in our minds and hearts, to galvanize our commitment to protecting what remains."

Thank you as always, and even more this time. Your writing is one of these places of beauty, as I save every post to make sure I don't miss a single one. Feeding the soul, thank you Jamie.

"Build practices that sanctify the mundane." That's great advice. Thank you for this Jamie.

damn J, dune 2 lit you up! great work!

ritualization is both the gateway to the sacred and the conspirituality realm. so how do we simply honor something and make art (altars) commemorating it rather than adding superstitious value and meaning sliding south down the slippery slope of apophenia. let the mysto stay the mysto I suppose.

over here we are studying flowers and looking forward to campfires in CO come summer.

ps. take a peek at the Adamo method. we just completed their first 8 week cohort. I think they firmly planted a flag on the right-hand path of sexuality.

Loved Dune 1 & 2 & your take on finding & celebrating the holy… interesting how the metaphors of experience speak to deeper insights seemingly more relevant & significant…. Decoding reality it’s synchronicities & meaning making, now finding the awe & celebrating ! Great idea to plant this spring.

Thank you, Jamie, for giving voice to my urgency and frustration: "When all else is shattered, and we're choking on our undigested grief, it's learning to Feed the Holy that bring us Home."

Thank you Jamie for this beautiful reminder of "seeing the light in the average". You articulate thoughts and experiences, that have grown in me for years. I would like to share an example of simple practice from my own life: Family grace-game before dinner: we (a familiy of four), join hands around the dinner table and one of us sends a sequence of small handshakes (or rather small squeezes) to the next person who pass it on to the next person until the "signal" returns to sender. It's a little game that make us smile and charish the feeling of presence and family communion. Personally I always close my eyes during the ritual/game and send thoughts of compassion to someone/somewhere in the world where it's especially needed. The children see it mostly as a fun game, but I'm convinced that they unconscoiusly also sense the solemn and graceful aspect of the ritual.
